About us

”We know the feeling. That rumbling tummy, so damn hungry and on the hunt for the perfect… something.

It’s got to be fresh, it’s got to be fast, it’s got to be good, and it’s got to be now – before that ‘hungry’ becomes a ‘hangry.’ But quick & casual, and carefully curated? Only in Asia are the two not mutually exclusive, a street food culture that’s been crushing it for decades.

Big, bold and oh-so-brilliant, some of the best meals you’ll ever have are seated on a tiny plastic stool, bathed in the neon glow of Hong Kong, Bangkok, Saigon. Flavours so fresh, they make the wok rock. Dishes so tasty, they see your chopsticks do the cha-cha. Diners so happy, they turn fortune cookies into facts.

And here in Montrose, when you’re in the mood for umami, only one lady has always got your back: Ms So.

At her cosy little corner in Colorado, 7000 miles from the street food paradise she calls home, our hardworking culinary queen takes the very best of East- and South-East Asian cuisines and serves them up with a smile that could straight-up melt a spring roll.

Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean and more, our yi yi dishes it out both old-school authentic and new-school fusion, in a casual, affordable spot that feels just like your Asian auntie’s kitchen. Slurpy bowls of noodle-y goodness, dim sum that disappears faster than your dignity, sociable sharing plates spinning like a DJ’s decks on a Lazy Susan. Here, it’s about sharing, caring – and coming back for seconds.

more About us

So tasty, so true, so moreish you’ll keep wanting… well, more.

Keeping it real in the kitchen, head chef Nathan Green lends our dear miss a helping hand, his decades of Hong Kong expertise bridging that all-important East-West culinary gap. Together with Ms So, they serve up a special kind of Asian hospitality to make you feel like family – the kind where ‘have you eaten?’ is just another way of saying ‘I care about you.

’Because we really do. At Ms So’s, we’re so much more than an eatery – we’re where Montrose comes together, where neighbours become family and where ‘community’ is so more than just a buzz. From pet-friendly gatherings to weekend socials, local showcases to community noticeboards, our joint is where good food meets good people for good things.

And it starts with what we do best: feeding you. Whether it’s something warm and soupy to kickstart your morning, an after-school boba tea fix, or an evening dumpling spread that hits all the right spots, Ms So has got you covered. Because great food isn’t just about filling your belly (even though that’s so, so important) – it’s about nourishing your soul, one succulent meal at a time.

So, whether you’re snacky or famished, craving comfort or feeling daring, Ms So is that Asian auntie you’ve always wanted. So happy to see you, so ready to feed you, and so damn good at cooking up something delicious.

Trust in Ms So, she knows just what you need.
